Lights!
CAM/RA! Action! |
Conference
Annual Meeting in
Great Falls, May 8 – 11, 2008
and Spring Youth Retreat
Lights! CAM-RA! Action! is the theme for the
2008 Conference Annual Meeting. The one big twist to our
usual event is this year we will be in our Annual gathering
with the good folks from the Montana Region of the Christian
Church/Disciples of Christ. So when you see the term “CAM/RA,”
know that it indicates “Conference Annual Meeting”/”Regional
Assembly.”
This year, those of us who are part of the
United Church of Christ will begin our time together on
Thursday, May 8 with a Light Supper at 5:30 p.m. and at
7 p.m. with Opening Worship and a hearing on a business
proposal for Camp Mimanagish. This will be hosted by our
good friends at First
Congregational United Church of Christ of Great Falls.
On Friday, May 9, we will continue our gathering,
with morning business meetings and voting, on the campus
of the University of Great
Falls, where we will be until closing worship on Sunday,
May 11. Our Disciples friends will join us starting Friday
evening for their Regional Assembly.
There will be great workshops and special
speakers. The two major speakers will be the Rev. Sharon
Watkins, president and General Minister of the Christian
Church/DoC, and the Rev. Lydia Veliko, UCC Minister of Ecumenical
Relations.
There will also be child care provided for
preschool children, a program for younger elementary children,
and a major “Youth Event” led by Randy Kuss,
a wonderful youth minister from the Disciples of Christ.

can find detailed information on CAM/RA by clicking here!
See you in Great Falls!
